Preparation
For Vegan BBQ Cauliflower Wings
Step 1
Preheat oven to 428 °F (220 °C) top/bottom heat.
Step 2
Cut cauliflower into bite-sized florets and wash.
Step 3
Mix rice drink, water, flour, spices and barbecue sauce in a bowl to make a thick mixture.
Step 4
Dip cauliflower florets in marinade, shake off excess marinade and place florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Bake in oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Turn over after 10 minutes to ensure all sides are evenly browned and crispy.
Step 6
In the meantime, prepare barbecue sauce: Place all ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally and add a little water if necessary. If you like it spicier, you can add more hot red bell pepper sauce.
Step 7
Allow sauce to cool. Remove 1 cup for marinade and mix with 1 tablespoon oil. Once cauliflower is done, remove from oven and evenly coat baked florets with barbecue sauce.
Step 8
Return cauliflower to oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Step 9
Serve cauliflower wings with rice or additional dips.
