Ingredients
for 12 servings (1 cake)
For zebra cake
- 250 g raw cane sugar
- 400 ml natural oat drink
- 180 ml sunflower oil
- 1 pinch of Ceylon cinnamon
- 500 g flour wheat flour type 550 or spelt flour type 630
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- A 24 cm springform pan
Preparation
For zebra cake
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat or 160°C convection oven.
Step 2
Put sugar together with oat drink, oil and cinnamon in a food processor or beat with a hand mixer until sugar is dissolved.
Step 3
Sift the flour and mix into the liquid ingredients along with the baking powder. Divide the dough in half and stir the cocoa powder into one half.
Step 4
Line the springform pan with baking paper. Spoon the batter alternately into the center of the springform pan until all the batter is used up.
Step 5
Bake the dough on the middle shelf in the oven for 40 minutes.
